Volunteer
The Glover PTO runs on the countless hours volunteered by our engaged community. From room reps to gear sales, field trips to event planning, we have a volunteer role to suit everyone’s interest and availability.
Learn about some of our ongoing opportunities below or sign up for specific event/program times as they become available on our Sign Up Genius.

Curriculum Enhancement
Support Glover administration and enhance school curriculum through a variety of new and returning programs including the Glover Book Club, Math Mondays, and STEM workshops.
Enrichment Programs
Research and identify potential field trips, guest speakers, visiting performers, and outside funding sources to share with school administration and teachers.
Glover Gives Back
Help our students engage in community service through annual food and gift drives to support the Milton community and identify additional service project opportunities.
Room Representatives
Support your student's teacher throughout the year with various projects including distributing PTO news to the class; organizing class gifts; recruiting volunteers for the UNITY Project (replacing Meet the Artist and Reading About Diversity); soliciting classroom supply donations; and other tasks as needed.
Event Planning
Join Board members to help plan a variety of community events including the Glover Fair (September), Monster Bash/Lantern Walk (October), Book Swap (winter), Read-A-Thon (March), and more. Our needs include sourcing vendors, soliciting sponsorships, ordering merchandise, marketing, event management, event staff, and more.
Hospitality
Help the PTO show its appreciation for the entire staff by stocking the staff room with snacks and coffee every month; providing meals; organizing seasonal gifts and planning Staff Appreciation Week in May. Sign up to stock the staff room.
Library Support
The Glover School Library is visited by all 600+ students every week. Help Mr. Coben, Milton's elementary librarian, keep the space looking its best by shelving books, organizing sections, helping students locate books, repairing books/labels, and other small projects as needed.
Outdoor Classroom/Green
Keep the Outdoor Classroom and Glover grounds looking their best by weeding, planting, or picking up trash. Volunteers can also help build curriculum for use in these beautiful green spaces.
Fundraising
Work with event planning teams to identify potential community partners, solicit donations and sponsorships, or research grant opportunities and write proposals.
